We always start with the ‘why’ when starting projects so that the children have a reason for working hard towards an end goal.
With so many wonderful people donating and loaning books and toys to us while we are camping at the marina we decided to make them write thank you cards.
The girls loved using the new art and craft resources to make the cards and Freya used her new cursive handwriting skills to write the messages.
We had a real production line going at one point.
The girls took photos of the cards to email to their benefactors and we passed the hard copies to the INCO chairwoman to distribute.
A really great art, DT, handwriting learning session with an authentic purpose.
