But it is snowing in PlayDoh land indoors. The girls have been developing their fine motor skills by creating townscapes this week. Snowmen, penguins, Father Christmas and Christmas trees have featured heavily.
It has been so interesting seeing their creative flare move from 2D to 3D.
We have used the PlayDoh obsession as an introduction to 3D shapes for the girls bringing in mathematical vocabulary such as faces, edges and vertices for prisms, cuboids etc.
The attention to detail has been fascinating and Nick has been drawn into the fascination…. he has only gone and asked for air drying clay forChristmas 🙂
