We have been banned from leaving the caravan park now so no more trips to the beach 😦 as such, we need some outdoor projects much closer to home.
We had a look through our science books and found a page of ideas for nature activities.
We have just finished the plants unit and have started a unit on birds, so it was perfect timing!
The ones included ideas for:
Best building materials
Flying insect houses
Bug hotels
The girls collected natural materials from around the site and we started by stuffing a fruit net with nesting materials. Flossy added some scraps of tin foil for the magpies 🙂
Felicity helped tie some stocks together for a hanging house for flying insects while Freya and Daddy turned an old pallet into a big hotel with natural materials and food scraps.
We can see all of them from the awning so should hopefully get some great indoor outdoor viewing pleasure!
