Flossy is learning about the language of maths.
We made a super quick and east marsh game to play using some colored paper. White would be fine.
We cut up some cards, about 30, and wrote two digit numbers on them. (You could do three digit or one digit depending on your child’s age or ability).
On some larger cards of a different shape (for East identification- could be a different color) we wrote maths words to do with calculation:
You could extend these according to your child’s ability.
Flossy then rolled a dice and took a card from each pile.
She had to do the calculation she created:
6, more than, 36
4, fewer than, 29
And so on. Really quick and easy, good revision, no materials and can be saved for another day.
