This week Freya and Flossy created a lovely story with the modeling clay….
The family of squirrels started a library in the hole of an oak tree.
One of the squirrels wrote a book about a mouse who was bored during lockdown.

The book was about all the activities the mouse created to keep busy during the outbreak.
The finished book
The squirrel then did a reading of the book with the illustrator for all the baby squirrels in the library.
There was money paid and change given before the author left.

A lovely example of children making sense of the extraordinary through play. It would’ve great if we can all capture theses incidents of learning over the coming weeks to reflect back on when this is all over.
