Fliss fine motor skill development

While we are focusing mainly on Freya and Flossy’s learning because they are school age we do also try to make sure Fliss gets some age appropriate stimulation too.

This week I was working with her on her fine motor skills. She is already very adept in this area but I wanted to build up the strength she has in her hands and fingers in preparation for further mark making and early writing.

I made some salt dough and we made balls and sausages to warm up her hands. She loved squeezing and kneading the dough as well as banging it and peeling it back off the chopping board.

I left her investigating while I worked with the older girls, when I came back she had made a ‘little girl’!

We baked her little girl and she coloured her in using markers.

I think my work here is done!
