As we are quarantined we have no way of getting to the shops to buy gifts for our friends, despite their kindness in letting us stay!
We can make gifts though!
When we left the UK I had gifted my lovely little sewing machine to my friend as it was too heavy to take. She lent it back to us and we have been putting it to good use.
After reading The Paper Dolls we had made little paper doll chains – these were the inspiration for Freya’s gift idea.
We cut a paper template of a little man then chose material from our scraps bag (this has all the old clothes etc in it).
The girls helped cut out the little people, I used the machine to sew them together (teaching them how it worked) then they stuffed them and decorated them.
They are very cute and were the gifts that our friends found at the end of their maths treasure hunt yesterday!
