Charity shop fun

Now that we are buying a boat we have started to collect a few things that will make life easier.

A lovely lady in Hitchin gave us a sewing machine so I can see new curtains and bedding etc.

Another lovely lady in Hatfield is giving us a printer so we can fill out all the bureaucratic forms for school admissions.

We have started getting furniture as you saw in the past post about bed painting!

One place we get lots of the things we need is Facebook marketplace, the other is charity shops.

On one such visit, where Nick was looking for a second hand cricket shirt, Freya found a book she wanted…. always books 🙂

So, our reading comprehension has moved into how to take care of horses!

New vocabulary has included:

  • Descendent
  • Ancestors
  • Breeding

Her motivation to read some really tricky Latin names has been fantastic… totally worth £1.50
