Freya and I went shopping for Felicity’s birthday presents. She and Flossy were given a budget and set loose on the charity shops of Harpenden.
Freya chose very thoughtfully; she picked a Peppa Pig set of little toys, a Peppa Teddy to go with the big Peppa Fliss already has and some books.
As we browsed one shop she spotted this parrot. She remembered our friend Dean mentioning that he has left his ‘Terry the Toucan’ in Malaysia and that he was kissing his puppet.
Without a thought for her self, or her sister, she used some of her budget to buy the parrot for Dean.
It’s moments like this that you sigh and think, ‘we have made mistakes, we worry about our decisions and parenting, but look what an amazing little person Freya has become.’
